Woo Cooks Beats is the sister channel to Woo Can Cook, where all of the music featured in the Woo Can Cook series is published.
Prior to COVID-19, Wesley performed nightly with the Oakland funk band Trace Repeat. You could find the band 2-3 times a week performing in bars, clubs, and music venues all around the California Bay Area.
He holds a BA in music from UC Berkeley and has spent over 10 years of his life building a career in music as a touring musician (and no, for those wondering, Wesley has absolutely no professional training as a chef).
Sadly, Trace Repeat is on an indefinite hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but (silverlining!) Woo Can Cook was created as a direct result of the shut down.
While we wait for the world to re-open (and the return of live music) Wesley still continues to make music during the pandemic under the solo project “Woo Cooks Beats.” You can find his “lofi beats to cook to” on Spotify, itunes, YouTube, and of course, in all of the Woo Can Cook videos, GIF Recipes, and livestreams.
